Home Away was founded with a clear purpose: to build stronger community bonds and provide a support network for migrant workers in the UAE. We believe in a holistic approach that not only fosters social connection but also addresses the practical challenges these individuals face daily. Our goal is to create an environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and at home.
What We Do
We organize fun, casual events like our annual cricket tournament and badminton tournement, which provides a relaxed setting for workers to socialize, stay active, and build team spirit. Beyond the matches themselves, these gatherings are designed to feel like a celebration — with carnival-style games, delicious food, and lively music that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere reminiscent of home for the migrant workers. Our goal is to foster not just recreation, but a sense of belonging and community. In addition to these large events, we also visit worker accommodation camps throughout the year to host smaller-scale activities and distribute essential items such as care packs, festive treats, and other supplies. These efforts help us stay connected with the workers, showing our appreciation and ensuring they feel valued and supported in their day-to-day lives.
Our Vision
Beyond our events and support groups, we aim to raise awareness about migrant worker issues and inspire wider community engagement. By doing so, we hope to foster a society where every individual feels a sense of belonging and has the support they need to thrive.
